In 2021 Glenfiddich whiskey commissioned Lagos-based award-winning painter and sculptor, Ayoola Gbolahan to design the sleeve for the new Glenfiddich 26yrs Grande Cuoronne.

Drawing inspiration from the original design, Ayoola out his maverick eye to it, and turned it into something new, celebratory, fresh, and unexpected.
Commenting on the inspiration behind his interpretation of the Grande Couronne filigree, Gbolahan said while immersing himself with the brand, he discovered that Glenfiddich was a product of collaboration with different individuals over several years.
An original painting from which the inspiration for the sleeve design was gotten from, was unveiled, which lead into an auction of the painting as well as limited edition signed sleeves inspired by the art piece. Proceeds from the auction was then donated to local art foundations in Nigeria.
